Stealing the online game system is rising Theft of online game systems is on the rise

Just as there are more and more well-educated people today, there are more and more smarter and slier criminals. A report from FBI said:“ professional thieves have learned that stealing video game consoles is a much more lucrative venture than stealing ceramic tchotchkes from old people’s mantle.” According to the diagram of this report we come to a conclusion that the stealing of game consoles has risen almost three times in three years. It increase  from 11,074 to 42,615 between 2007 and 2009. What makes this a frequent phenomenon? For one reason, game consoles are a large demand, because the platform is the basis of the console and many people can download free console systems out of official websites . For example, many people can get them from Indian or Chinese websites and some other developing countries. The other reason is that the change in electronic technology causes the device to become smaller and smaller, they have become a bigger target for the theft, it is easy to take, transport, and sell.

For the online game system, the game accounts are the most important property, they contains personal information, money, pleasure, and gaming experiences. The hackers have become more clever than ever before. That could be a big issue in the video game industry in the future. A game company should not only focus on the game development but also consider the safety of customers’ property. There is an example about Wanmei company’s game called World2-(神鬼) in 2009. When many people entered into this game, there emerged an Internet mishap: many people lost their accountsAs most of these players were new, they did not spend a lot of money on it, so they did not care. However, a few people who have already spent a lot of money on playing this game had legal disputes with Wanmei Company. Therefore, Wanmei lost a lot of money, and it was almost going bankrupt in 2010. From this case, it shows that we have to learn how to prevent network theft if we are going to operate a video game company.

Interpreting the age of video game players become younger in China

With the video game market growing rapidly in China, many video game companies are releasing more types of game on the market. Meanwhile, the content of the games become more exciting. Nowadays, the video game “Stealing Food and Zombies” have attracted many people of all ages. Therefore, it increases the number of younger players significantly. Even some primary school students have been addicted to it.

Video games have been lived in the hearts of children, as they can place their hearts and mind into a virtual world.  In this world, they can do as many please, and they give up study to become a member of the virtual world. As many of you know there are plenty of illegal Internet bars in China, There students can buy game cards or credit. It is reported, there are about 3million Internet users under 10 years old, among them 7.1% are primary students, which are grades 1-6.

Why are video games so attractive? In fact, the biggest charm lies in its freedom, the game players can do as they pleases in this virtual world, they can vent their dissatisfaction onto online games, and the most importantly is that other players are approbated by each other. China has a population of 1.3 billion. Divorces occur everyday due to bad conditions. Change to “For those kids the lack of family care and the lack of recognition by others, make them easy prey for "internet addiction. The relevant departments pay close attention to Internet bars and other illegal game halls, but many still escape through regulation, and they continue to destroy adolescents.

In fact, creating a green game environment for players is every gaming company’s responsibility. On the other hand, we should not deny videogames. If some stress occurs in the life, videogames can serve as a vent to avoid depression and release stress. It can also develop your intelligence and your ability to coordinate with a team. But excessive playing of online games can lead to physical and psychological damage.  Children and adolescents should pay more attention to the moderate it. As players become younger in every country, many other nations will face this same situation.

The current situation of Chinese film market

The total box office of China mainland film market in 2012 reached 170 billion RMB (2.8 billion Dollars), increased 30.18% comparing to last year, which has make China become the second big film market in the world, just rank only second to north America. Chinese movies contribute 48.46% of the total number. That is the first time that Chinese movies box office is lower than the foreign movies in China mainland market. The major reason beyond this is that China increased the quota of importing foreign movies, which allows China imports 34 foreign movies from USA per year, instead of 20 in the past.
In 2012, there were 21 Chinese movies whose box offices exceeded 100 million RMB (12.4 million dollars) in China film market.  Among them, there were 6 movies whose box offices exceeded 200 million RMB (24.8 million dollars). There were 3 movies whose box offices exceeded 700 million (116.7 million dollars).  Those numbers beat the ones in last year.
In 2012, there were 745 features, 33 cartoons, 15 documentaries, and 74scientific films, 26 special movies made by China in China movie market, which is a new record.
There were 3832 more movie screens in Chinese movie theaters in 2012, 10.5 movie screens were created per day, and all of them were for digital movie theaters.
In 2012, there were 25 theater lines whose yearly income exceeds 100 million RMB (16.7 million dollars). Among them, Wanda, Shanghai Union, Central Media Xingmei, Southern Central Media, Guanzhou Jinyi, Guandong Earth, their income has exceeded 1billion RMB (167 million dollars). Among them, Wanda theater line earned 2.4 billion RMB (400 million dollars), became the first theater line who earned more than 2 billion RMB(334 million dollars). And Wanda increase rate has been beyond the regular level in Chinese market.
There were 75 Chinese movies which were exported to more than 80 countries, Chinese movies overseas box office was 1.6 billion RMB(233.4 million dollars) in 2012. This number is lower than the one in 2011 and 2010.
All in all, China movie market is increasing rapidly, but still, Chinese movies cannot beat western movies in terms of quality. Chinese audiences also do not have the right attitude towards movies. Chinese audiences seem movies more like a relaxing tool, instead of an art, which, in turn, direct film directors to make lightweight comedies. That caused investment in the market just go to the genre of comedy, which narrowed down the movie genres in China film market. Take TaiJiong as an example, it created 1billion RMB (166.6 million dollars) and became the biggest hit in late 2012. Though, it was viewed as a sign of the degeneration of morality in filmmaking by critics, it earned popularity in no time in China film market and created huge profitability. Maybe it is time for Chinese filmmakers to shift their focus from market and profit extension to the quality of movie itself.
